IN SPORTS.

The next level of perimeter advertising enables targeted messages globally by multiplying the broadcasting signal into different feeds and thus infinite ad-inventory. To exploit the full potential there is a need for a digital platform that matches supply and demand while delivering insights and automation.

That's why we built one - GIPEDO.

IT ALL STARTED ...

... in a small Café in Neustadt, Hamburg

The two GIPEDO co-founders Matthias and Lars met through a mutual friend by coincidence in 2018. Lars' idea of a digital marketplace for virtual advertising brought them together for their first meeting at Café Johanna. As it turned out, the location became their meeting goto place for a series of further discussions.

While still pursuing a somewhat different approach at the time, it quickly became clear to them that there were more challenges to overcome than initially assumed.

The ideas matured and they started building their first prototype in 2019. An exercise that taught them what didn't work. The latter gave reason to pivot from the original idea of a marketplace for virtual advertising to digital services for business in sports. In August 2021 GIPEDO officially went live - onboard their first employee - coincidentally: Johanna ;-)

THE MEANING OF GIPEDO

GIPEDO is Greek (γήπεδο [jípeδo]) and stands for sports field.
